Firepoint Grill

Having achieved tremendous success locally with a series of high-end specialty restaurants, the leadership of Paxos Restaurants tasked the design team to create their first premier destination restaurant outside the Lehigh Valley.  The client selected a site in Newtown Square, Delaware County, which is an affluent metropolitan area west of Philadelphia.  Completed in 2016, the Fireside Grill provides a lively dining experience for up to 400 people (250 inside + 150 outdoor patio) and serves as a flagship location for the client in the region.  The indoor dining area features a 30’ x 12’ bar, an open kitchen lined with stainless steel equipment and a wood-fueled glass tile pizza oven, intimate dining booths along the perimeter, and a private dining room.  A continuous, full-height window wall along the north side of the building was designed to blur the lines between the Dining Room and the covered outdoor patio.  A second bar is centrally located in the patio, covered by an exposed timber frame roof and anchored with a two-sided fireplace, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere on one side and an exterior focal point on the other.
